Christmas is coming up and if your dog forgot to write a letter to Santa this year, then you may still be looking for that perfect present for under the tree. Christmas stock is flying off the shelves of Duckworth street, but we still have some great options available at The Doghouse!
Does your dog love squeaker toys? Do you hate them? If so, Hear Doggy stuffed toys are the perfect choice to satisfy your squeaker loving dog while still maintaining your own sanity. Hear Doggy toys have a squeaker that is inaudible to humans. Dogs can hear it, but human family members cannot, so no need to take the toy away for some peace and quiet. Hear Doggy toys come in a few different shapes and sizes. There are still some left in the shop and more will be available in 2015.
For the dog that craves destruction, try one of our Go Dog stuffed toys. Go Dog toys have an extra "chew guard" layer to help the toy survive for a little longer. We have Christmas themed Go Dog toys as well as regular toys. They also have only a small amount of stuffing, so if you dog does get through to the innards, there will be minimal mess.
Looking for a way to get your dog in on the holiday feast, but don't want to share your turkey dins? Northern biscuit treats are a great option to get your pup in the Christmas spirit. Northern is a great company that makes healthy dog treats that are wheat free and Canadian made. Coming in flavours like turkey cranberry, glazed duck, and pumpkin pie, Northern biscuits are the perfect treat for Christmas dinner. All flavours are free of wheat and some are also completely grain free.
F or the fashion conscious pooch, consider a dapper bow tie from Donnatello VerPoochie. These new products are extremely easy to attach to your dog's collar and can be worn for the holidays or all year round. The bows come with a button clasp to ensure a strong hold, and there are also some with an elastic for attachment. Custom sizes and colours are available by request as this new line is made by our very own Sara!
Boots are another great and practical gift for Christmas. Winter is upon us and the ice and salt on our city streets can really irritate the paws! Wellies are a new brand that we just got in last month, and so far they have gotten rave reviews from our customers and staff. Wellies are waterproof rubber boots and although they may not be the warmest, they can easily be put over socks to add warmth. The Wellies come in three colours (red, green and black) and they are suitable for smaller dogs under 30 pounds. We also have multiple other brands of boots including Muttlucks and Kong, which come in larger sizes for bigger dogs.
